Our Gite is close to Sarlat and many other attractions in the Dordogne.

The region is famous for its fine food and wine. It's peppered with pretty villages and towns and is a perfect place for a walking or a driving holiday. For the more energetic there are plenty of outdoor activities to suit all ages.

Nearby Les Eyzies is the so-called capital of pre- history where you can explore troglodyte caves and view amazing wall paintings. Our antecedents clearly knew where was a nice place to live.

The stunning town of Beynac where the movie Chocolat was filmed is only 30 minutes away.

Visit the impressive Chateaux of Beynac and Castelnaud from which, across the Dordogne, the English and the French warily eyed each other over 500 years ago.

The medieval town of Sarlat is 15 minutes away and the Dordogne and Vezere rivers run through the region.

Visit medieval chateaux, taste wine in local vineyards then return to the privacy of La Fleurie and laze by the pool while you decide where to have dinner.
